We put to the test three of the most popular local ice cream brands in the Philippines to see which one had the best Cookies and Cream flavored Ice Cream.

It was just a spur of the moment, my wife and I were craving for noodle soup so we head on to Nomama for dinner on my birthday and left our children at home. I know, selfish right?

There has been a surge of boutique hotels recently in Tagaytay, and one of these is Lee Boutique Hotel. This is the first boutique hotel I've stayed in.

We went to the Manila Ocean Park on my birthday, October 25, 2011. The last time we went there was 4 years ago and there have been lots of changes since then. We've been planning this trip for a couple of months now and have been delayed a couple of weeks. The timing was perfect though, it was my son's semestral break and it was my birthday.

Paradizoo is a relatively new attraction in Tagaytay. It is made by the people who gave us Residence Inn. Although, technically, it is already in Mendez, Cavite, it's only a few kilometers (15 mins) away from Taal Vista Lodge, and is very easy to get to.

Another long weekend, so another trip out of town. But since it's an All Soul's Day holiday, we were stuck in the south, within or close to Batangas for a customary visit to the cemetery on Nov. 1.

Sango is one of the newest restaurants in Tomas Morato. The time we ate here, it was still in its soft opening. I didn't know about this place nor heard of it before, we just passed by it and saw the words "Burger Master". Being a burger enthusiast/hunter myself, I couldn't let it pass.

The next day, Sunday, was our last day in Singapore. Our flight was 11 o'clock in the evening, so we still had the whole day to sightsee.

On our third day in Singapore, we went to Marina Bay Sands, which is a newly constructed hotel building and tourist attraction. Marina Bay Sands looks like 3 skyscrapers connected to each other by a deck that looks like a large cruise ship sitting on top. At the top, there is an awesome view of the whole city and, according to them, the longest pool in the world, which is only available for hotel guests.

We left the Philippines, through Philippine Airlines, Thursday, at about 3pm and arrived in Singapore just before 7pm.  This is the best airport I've visited so far.  Better than Hong Kong's or Chicago's O'hare.

It's suprising the gall of spammers these days. They try to start conversations and give you virus infecting websites. When a friend sent me a YM, I immediately detected it was a spammer. That is what they do now, they hack into people's Yahoo accounts and give their friends spam websites.

Does anyone know why my Black Ghost is behaving like this? It's going around and around on broad daylight. Normally it stays hidden in the plants or under some rock and only comes out when it's dark. But now, it's going around in circles.

I'm not really a burger connoisseur. I would categorize myself more of a burger enthusiast than an expert.  Every so often, I would try out new burger joints with my wife just to satisfy my cravings for burgers along with my mission to find the best burger in Metro Manila. This time around, we visited Johnny Rockets in Tomas Morato Ave.

We were recently invited to a birthday party in Enchanted Kingdom and was able to test out one of the new rides there.

I was recently invited by Fresh Fruits Inc., a Philippine coconut ingredients producer, to produce an ad pitch for their new product 'Buco', a line of coconut food additives. The client found out that I was a photographer and just gave me a set of their products for me to photograph and use on the poster and website design. This is an advantage for me since I can just provide the whole package, including design and photography. They wouldn't have to talk to anyone else. I just hope I make a good impression on my design.

After having our second child, dates with my wife have become few and far between. Every chance we get to go out by ourselves is always a welcome respite even if it's a strenuous activity like grocery shopping. So after my friend's Friday night small birthday celebration, we stopped over Bubble Tea just to linger on.

We were invited by my wife's uncle last Saturday to see Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader at Trinoma. And I would be a fool to pass up that opportunity.  The movie started at 11am and it ran for about an hour and a half. The movie was great, the cgi effects are believable but it's really not my type of movie. Narnia is geared toward kids and I prefer the Lord of the Rings. Nevertheless, it's still worth watching it.

Here is a look around Timog Ave. and T. Morato Ave. My wife and I took a stroll Friday morning so we can shoot photos of the streets and upload it to Google Earth and Wikimapia.� From our house, we headed down towards Timog Ave. Timog Ave. is a commercial area located in Quezon City. You will find lots of restaurants and clubs lined up in this street. There's also a couple of� autoshops, and exotic car dealers where you can find Porsches, Lambhorginis, and the likes. What I like about Timog is the trees on the sidewalk form a canopy over the road. However, the sidewalk could need some cleaning up. All the way down to the Rotunda, litters of every kind are everywhere. The city government should make an effort to install trash receptacles at every corner of the street so people won't resort to becoming litter bugs.

Last Sunday, Nov. 28, I attended the wedding of my good friend and 'thesis-mate', Allan Tan. The wedding ceremony was held at the Shrine of Jesus, The Way, The Truth, and The Life, a catholic church beside SM Mall of Asia. SM Mall of Asia is the biggest mall in the Philippines. Third in the world according to Forbes.com.
